Speaking on "Love Radio" on 22 January, top rumoured candidate Alexandra Vorobyova denied any reports claiming her selection to Eurovision. She said there has been no official proposal to her yet, and she has no idea who is in charge of preselection and how it will run, but of course, she remained highly interested to take part in the show. On 17 February, speaking to KP.ru head of delegation Yuri Aksyuta has informed Vorobyova will not be chosen for Eurovision.

Despite "Channel One" has not invited interested artists to submit their entries, few performers have publicly expressed interest to sing for Russia at ESC 2015. The list includes hair stylist turned pop-star, self-proclaimed "King of glamour" Serg Zverev, who also announced rejecting proposals from other two countries to represent them at the contest, as well as singer from Ural region Alexander Elovskih, who announced submission of "Tell Me How" and DJ Nickbroke entering "Never Cry".
